Husband and wife died in a tragic accident in Begusarai district. The incident took place in Maheshpur Tola Dumri village of Paraura Panchayat of Chhaurahi police station area, where both of them died due to suffocation after falling into the toilet tank. The deceased have been identified as Shambhu Sahni and his wife Murti Devi. After this incident, there is a wave of mourning in the village and there is chaos among the family members.
Balance disturbed while peeping into the tank
Family members told that a cleaning worker was called to clean the toilet tank. While cleaning, Shambhu Sahni was peeping into the tank when suddenly he lost his balance and fell into the tank. In an attempt to save Shambhu, his wife Murthy Devi also entered the tank, but due to the poisonous gas in the tank, both of them became unconscious and died of suffocation.
Police engaged in investigation
As soon as information about the incident was received, Chhaurahi police station reached the spot. The police have taken the dead bodies in their custody and sent them to Begusarai Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and have started further investigation.
